Meet up on your terms.

Live location is powerful - and personal. Before you turn it on, understand what you're agreeing to:

• Anyone in that plan can see roughly where you are for as long as the window is active.
• A recipient could screenshot or write down your location. Only share with people you're actually meeting.
• Location can hint at your home, work, or routine. Prefer public meetup spots and only turn it on around the meetup time.
• If something feels off, stop sharing first, then leave the plan. You don't owe anyone an explanation.

• Off by default. Location sharing is never automatic. You choose to turn it on, per plan.
• Only inside a plan. Sharing is scoped to the specific meetup - matching, messaging, and browsing never see your location.
• Only plan members can see it. Not the wider community, not people who "liked" the same activity, not the public.
• One-tap stop. A persistent banner appears while you're sharing, with a Stop Sharing button that ends the window immediately.

• Every share has an end time you pick - 30 minutes, 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours.
• When the window ends, sharing turns off automatically. There is no "always on" option.
• A live countdown in the banner shows exactly how much time is left.
• Closing the app, force-quitting, or losing signal doesn't extend the window.

• Block anyone at any time. Blocked people can't message you, see your profile, or share a plan with you going forward.
• Report anyone for harassment, impersonation, unsafe behavior, or anything that violates the community rules. Reports go to the NVight team for review.
• Blocking or reporting a plan member ends messaging and cuts off further contact - treat it as the fastest way to disengage.
• If you're in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. In the U.S., call or text 911.

• Your contact info (phone, email, social handles) is hidden from other people until you both agree to meet up.
• Location windows are stored per plan and are only readable by other approved members of that plan.
• Auth, database access, and location records are protected by row-level rules so people can only see what they should.
• We do not sell your location or profile data, and we don't use it for advertising.

• Meet in public for the first time - coffee, a class, a busy bar, a park during daylight.
• Tell a friend where you're going and when you expect to be back.
• Handle your own transportation both ways. Don't get into someone else's car for a first meetup.
• Trust your gut. If a chat feels off, don't show up. If the meetup feels off, leave.
• NVight isn't a dating app. If someone starts pushing it that way and you're not into it, block and report.

• In app: use Block and Report from any profile or chat.
• Email: safety@nvight.com for urgent trust & safety issues.
• Emergency: dial your local emergency number first. NVight staff can't respond faster than local responders.
